Many people will tell you that you should never grill frozen chicken because the exterior will get overdone and dry while the interior will stay raw. This is one of the key reasons why you should never do this.
If it is prepared incorrectly, chicken may have the appearance of being cooked on the exterior while still being uncooked on the inside.
Your grilled chicken will have a little rubbery consistency as a result of the extra moisture that will be released during the quick thawing procedure.

Best Methods For Defrosting

Method #1: Refrigerator
If you have the necessary amount of time, we strongly suggest that you use this technique. It will take about 24 hours to thaw chicken in the refrigerator, but doing so will prevent the growth of harmful germs. You will also have a better chance of creating chicken that is juicy and tender if you grill it using this method.
Method #2: Counter
If the chicken is still frozen when noon rolls around but you want to prepare it for dinner, it is okay to leave it out on the counter for four to six hours before you start the cooking process. Maintain the chicken in its original packaging and set it on a dish with paper towels beneath to absorb any liquid that may escape. It is important to remember not to let the chicken pieces warm up to room temperature and to always use an antibacterial spray to clean the surface when you are finished.
Method #3: Water Bath
This strategy is only successful if the frozen chicken is stored in a bag with a zip-top closure or another kind of airtight container.
Place the chicken that has been covered in foil inside of a sink or a big bowl that has been filled with cold water. To maintain a constant temperature, it is necessary to replace the water around every half hour. If you follow these steps correctly, most chicken pieces will be defrosted in one to two hours.
Tip: if you want the procedure to get along more quickly, you may be tempted to use hot water. Do not do this since it will encourage the growth of the kind of germs that you are working so hard to get rid of in the first place.
Method #4: Defrosting Tray
If you do not already own a defrosting tray, it is highly recommended that you get one as soon as you are able to do so. It is not necessary to use energy or batteries with these ridged metal trays since they are intended to naturally drain the cold from the meat.
Find a tray that has a container connected to it so that you can catch the fluids that are released from the meat as it thaws. It should also be big enough to accommodate all of the meat that you want to defrost at the same time, so that you won’t have to go through the thawing procedure again with extra pieces. If you have a good defrosting tray, the process should take no more than half an hour.
Method #5: Microwave
This is the quickest way of them all, but you will need to keep a close eye on the meat to make sure that it is defrosting and not completely cooked in certain areas. Additionally, before you begin to thaw the meat, ensure that the grill is prepared. The chicken increases its chances of being contaminated with germs the longer it is left out at room temperature.
Place the chicken in a dish that can be heated in the microwave, and then put the bowl into the oven. Defrost the food using the microwave’s “defrost” setting for one to two minutes, depending on the strength of your microwave. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally while the meat is defrosting to prevent the thinner parts from completely cooking through. Defrost for an extra one to two minutes after you’ve already done so.
Take the chicken out of the microwave, season it anyway you want, and start grilling it as soon as you can.
While you can technically grill frozen chicken, it’s not going to give you the best results. Chicken that is grilled frozen will be tough and dry on the outside, while the inside will still be icy. It’s much better to thaw your chicken before grilling it so that you get juicy, flavorful results.
